Please allow me to give you a brief history of what you see here today!

Positive Image was established in 1980 as an offshoot from Seals Camera Store in Auburn NY, which has been in business since 1943.

My Grandfather, Selio, who opened Seals Camera Store, got his photographic education from his Uncle Umberto, 20 years prior. As you can see, our history in photography is long and well versed! We still have a wooden 4x5 Folmer Graflex Camera that the two of them shot portraits with in the 20’s and 30’s for 8 cents a photo!
And so they say, the rest is history! From those humble beginnings, the spirit and integrity, and ingenuity has lasted to this day. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and have fun exploring the site!
